Psychedelic-Assisted
Therapy

PREPARATION. INTEGRATION. PROCESS

Psychedelic experiences can open powerful psychological, emotional and embodied material. Preparation and integration provide a space to meet what emerges with curiosity, capacity and support—and explore how those insights can be integrated into everyday life.

Preparation

Prepare psychologically and emotionally for an upcoming psychedelic experience, with attention to intentions, expectations, nervous-system capacity and what may arise.

The Experience

The psychedelic experience itself occurs outside of our therapy sessions and within the legal and clinical context you have independently chosen.

Integration

Explore and process what emerged through the experience, making space for insights, emotions, memories and embodied material—and how these may be integrated into your life.

MORE THAN THE
EXPERIENCE ITSELF

A psychedelic experience can be profound, challenging, beautiful, confusing—or many of these things at once.

What emerges may include insight, emotion, memory, imagery, bodily sensations, shifts in perspective, or material that is difficult to immediately understand.

The experience itself is only part of the process.

Preparation can help you approach an experience with greater awareness of your intentions, expectations, internal resources and nervous-system capacity. Integration creates space afterward to explore what emerged, make meaning of the experience, and consider how new awareness might be carried into everyday life.

The goal is not simply to have a profound experience. It is to develop the capacity to meet what the experience reveals.

PSYCHEDELICS & THE THERAPEUTIC PROCESS

WE EACH HAVE A PERSONAL AND UNIQUE REASON

Psychedelic experiences can temporarily alter familiar patterns of perception, emotion, thought and self-experience. For some people, this may create opportunities to encounter memories, emotions, relational patterns or perspectives in ways that feel different from ordinary states of consciousness.

But an altered state is not, in itself, the same as psychological transformation.

What emerges during a psychedelic experience is shaped by many factors—including personal history, expectations, relationships, context, nervous-system capacity and the environment in which the experience occurs.

This is why I approach psychedelic-assisted therapy not simply as an experience, but as a process.

Preparation, therapeutic support and integration can help create the conditions for people to engage thoughtfully with what emerges and explore how insights or experiences might become meaningful in their lives.

A powerful experience may open a door. Integration is part of learning how to walk through it.
